The picture book that I chose to blog about is See Me Run by Paul Meisel because it is an enjoyable book that demonstrates true happiness among some canine dogs. These dogs enjoyed an outing in the park where it was plenty of room to be themselves. This is something that is a major part of every dog happiness. Dogs tend to discover a lot of things when they are running around digging so these brilliant dogs discovered a mother lode of bones. The story basically depicts the true action of dogs loving to run. They run through mud and run into water to get cleaned up. This story was humorous to me when the dogs was digging and found fossil bones which caused the dogs to take off running again. The illustrations in this book is beyond marvelous because children would be able to get a visual on what the dogs may do next. There was also a lot of repetitions in this story as the dogs run and play. Repetition is how a lot of children learn language development.

The book that I chose from the poetry anthology is The House of Fame from Chaucer's Poetry. The House of Fame has Christian qualities because it begins with a prayer to God asking that only dreams with positive results be sent to humans. The poet is interested in what causes dreams, why some are fulfilled, and some are not. He is a critical thinker so he often wonders if some dreams are unfulfilled due to the personality of the dreamer or external factors. He admits he has no knowledge of this but hopes only dreams with good results be sent to humans. I found this to be interesting because this is something I desire in real life concerning dreams. I wish all dreams were positive and fulfilled so this can be a more productive world. This book leads me to believe that spirituality plays a huge role in whether your dreams or positive or negative. For example, one can't expect good things to happen to them when they are doing evil. I strongly believe the results of your dreams has a lot to do with your mind frame and personality. This book did not have illustrations but the messages within the poems are so inspirational.
